thingdust Analysis
Measure before you rebuild.
For a few months we measure how your desks and meeting rooms are used, and put a recommendation on the table that you can show to your management.
Process
From question to recommendation.
You take care of informing your employees – we provide the template. We handle everything else.
Intro call
Which decision is coming up? We define which areas are measured and for how long, and calculate the number of sensors.
Installation in one day
We create the floor plans from your existing drawings and install sensors and gateways on site.
First analysis
The dashboard is live. First patterns are visible: peak days, empty zones, oversized meeting rooms.
Test scenarios
Together with your facility management we work through options: sharing ratio, consolidation, room mix.
Final report and meeting
Space requirement, recommendation and business case. Then we remove the sensors – or they stay on as a live display.
What you get
Answers to the questions on your table right now.
Utilisation per desk and room
Average, peak and trend – per floor, zone, team and weekday.
Meeting rooms in detail
How many people sit in the room for ten? How often is a booked room empty?
Scenario simulation
How many desks do you need at 80 % target utilisation? Which floor can be freed up?
Final report
Results, recommendation and figures for the business case, presented in person.
In practice
700 desks today – how many in the new building?
A client with around 700 desks was planning a new building and wanted to know which sharing ratio was realistic. The answer had to be ready within six months.
We measured the desks in several areas one after the other. Installation used magnets and double-sided tape and took a few hours per area. The data showed, for each department, how many desks would no longer be needed with desk sharing.
Simply commission it and have the first data the day after tomorrow. That way office optimisation is neither a marathon nor guesswork.
